Join the Matakana Winegrowers Association at 5pm on Sunday 29 October 2023, for our annual wine tasting and film night. We think we’ve made the perfect match with French film ‘The Tasting’ and a special selection of boutique Matakana vineyards offering their latest wine vintages for tasting. Tickets are $40 from Matakana Cinema and include: wine tastings, a glass of wine and the film.
Experience different wine varieties and learn about the handcrafted wines produced locally by our passionate winemakers. Including new release Rosé, Chardonnay, Syrah, Merlot and unique varietals: Marsanne, Sangiovese and Tempranillo.
Bottle sales will be available at the Vintry.
The film finishes at 8pm and that’s the perfect time to make your dinner booking for, at MMK Restaurant or the Vintry
Starting at 5pm, come and meet our passionate winegrowers and taste several wines that are not traditionally available for the public to taste.

Jacques is divorced and runs a small winery, on the verge of bankruptcy. Hortense, determined not to end up single and involved in the association, walks into his store one day and decides to sign up for a tasting workshop.
